2. Music, a Universal Language

Вестиме: Sherry Grazda, Sherry Grazda has been a teacher her whole adult life. She loves to help people think, read, write, and learn about the world. Sherry also loves music. She lives in Colorado and her son lives in London.

We will explore pieces of music and the instruments used to play them, beginning with piano. Students will also learn about musical notation and famous composers.

3. Gentle Yoga Class with Linda (& her dog Rider)

This session will introduce you to Linda (and her cute dog Rider), and give you a chance to try her gentle yoga class. Linda teaches yoga, and her class will start with healthy breathing exercises, and transition into some fun yoga poses and movements that are designed to refresh your body and relax your mind. The class is suitable for all ages – all you have to be able to do is breathe and move your body.

Join Edmonton Public Library’s Adriana to explore the world of music! We’ll talk about the basic components of music through stories and games. Next, we will learn about different instruments and how they sound! Last, you will have time to experiment with writing your own rhythms and melodies by using digital music instruments and tools! Please bring paper and pen/pencil.
