We’ll be intelligent detectives. We will look at one small part of SOMETHING, think, and figure out what it is. Is it a cat or a dog? Is it an elephant or a hippo? We will review the alphabet chant and learn words that begin with Dd.

2. Exploring Mars

We will take a trip to a simulated Mars surface to look into the past, present, and future of Mars. This will include topics of the terrain, atmosphere, and searching for life on the planet.
Students go through an “airlock” which has lights flashing and loud noises on for a couple of minutes before stepping foot on the simulated surface.

4. How Our Eyes See

This is a class on eye functions and on eye health with a Kahoot quiz at the end. Gen loves teaching about the eye because she thinks the eyes are the window to our brain.

5. Monochromatic Art

Artist Barbara Derrick was fascinated by the full moon nights and how the light would touch the trees and the water. She’ll share with you her artwork and the thalo blues she uses to grab the attention of the viewer.

6. Pokémon the Card Game: How to Play and How to Create Our Own Cards

We will learn about the Pokémon Collectible Card game, how to play it, and how we can create our own cards using the materials found in our home. Please bring any kind of paper, a pencil, a ruler, and other art supplies if you have them.
