1. Exploring Mars

Taking a trip to a simulated Mars surface to look into the past, present, and future of Mars. This will include topics of the terrain, atmosphere, and searching for life on the planet.

Students go through an “airlock”, which has lights flashing and loud noises on for a couple of minutes before stepping foot on the simulated surface.

2. Cloud in a Jar Experiment!

Have you ever wondered how clouds are made? Introducing the water cycle, we will investigate how and why clouds form, along with two different experiments where we make clouds in a glass jar.

3. Unique Australian Animals and Their Babies

The lesson is about some special types of mammals called Marsupials and Monotremes. I will explain the unique ways these animals give birth and feed their babies.

5. A Trip to the Zoo

Join us on a virtual visit to the Edmonton Valley Zoo, located in the province of Alberta, Canada! You will meet members of the education team and have a chance to talk to them and ask questions about what it is like to work at a zoo, their education, and background, and even meet a couple of small animals up close.

Please note that the Covid-19 policy of the Edmonton Valley Zoo requires the presenters to wear masks as they are working closely with unvaccinated animals.
